- Remove the old paint with a hot air gun. Briefly heat the spot and remove the softened paint with a spatula or a chisel.
- Sand the remnants with a sanding block, for larger areas use rasp. Degrease the surface and remove dust.
- Cement coarse or corrupted areas, sand them, cement them again and finally sand them with very fine sanding paper.
- We paint so that the paint of about a millimetre strip overlaps the gap between the glass and the frame to prevent water from flowing in.
- Sand with a very fine sanding paper after the first layer; by this we eliminate any roughness and next layer adheres better.
