Construction of photovoltaic power plant
Construction of a 249.78 kWp Solar Power Plant
In 2022, in response to rising energy prices, we decided to use part of the roofs of our buildings to generate our own electricity from photovoltaics. Following a technical assessment, the roofs of the raw materials warehouse and the finished goods warehouse were selected for installation. The project was carried out by SOLAR GLOBAL ROOFS a.s. Napajedla.
Construction took place from July to October 2023. The 249.78 kWp rooftop photovoltaic power plant consists of 543 panels and generates approximately 247 MWh of electricity annually, covering roughly 15% of the company’s consumption. The system does not include battery storage, and excess energy is fed into the distribution grid.
The total investment amounted to CZK 8 million, of which CZK 1.9 million was covered by grant funding. The estimated payback period for the project is six years.
